Nearly a year-to-the-date after Chick-fil-A originally filed the paperwork for a stand-alone Glasgow location, the opening of the ever-popular restaurant is in sight.
The fast food franchise stated that the opening of the Glasgow location on N.L. Rogers Wells Boulevard is still “to be determined” but will be “sometime this fall” with hiring expected to begin on Thursday, Aug. 14. Currently, there is one job — a restaurant administrator — posted on the company’s website.
Chick-fil-A filed the plat, which was prepared by Young, Hobbs and Associates, with the Barren County Clerk’s Office on Aug. 14, 2024. In September the Georgia-based restaurant submitted a zone change application on the 10.92 acres property to the Joint City-County Planning Commission, which was approved with a few binding elements. After its preliminary and final development plan approval in November 2024, construction at 850 N.L. Rogers Wells Blvd. began.
