Josh Pittman is the new boy’s basketball coach at Caverna High School, principal Frank Beauchamp told WCLU Sports.

Pittman comes to Caverna from Success Academy in New York where he compiled a 44-11 record, according to information from the Caverna school district.

“Coach Pittman brings extensive coaching experience at both the collegiate and high school levels, along with a proven record of success in developing student-athletes on and off the court,” a district press release stated.

Pittman has served as a college assistant coach at multiple locations, including Manhattan University, Berry College and Centre College. He was also a student assistant at Louisville from 2005 to 2007.

“I’m honored to be named Head Coach at Caverna High School,” Pittman said in a statement from Caverna. “Basketball is a special part of this community, and I look forward to working with our student-athletes to build a program that competes with pride, discipline, and heart.

“Together, we will represent Caverna at the highest level.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Pittman to the Caverna family,” Beauchamp said in the press release. “He has demonstrated success everywhere he has coached, but even more importantly, he has shown a commitment to building strong student-athletes in the classroom and in life. We are confident he will bring that same energy, leadership, and passion to our program here at Caverna.”
