PRESS RELEASE
At approximately 6:50 p.m. Friday, the Glasgow Police Department responded to 1414 N. Race St. for a complaint of a male subject that had been shot.
Upon arrival, officers located the suspect, identified as James Edward Campbell, and confirmed that he had been into a verbal dispute with the person who was shot, identified as Roger L. Noland of Scottsville. The verbal dispute led to Campbell’s discharging his firearm and striking Noland.
Noland was transported by Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Campbell, of Glasgow, was arrested and charged with murder and two counts of wanton endangerment. He was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
This case is still under investigation.
The arrest was made by Capt. Justin Kirkpatrick.

The Glasgow Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Friday along North Race Street, according to GPD’s public information officer, Maj. Terry Flatt.
The person who was shot was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
One person has been detained in relation to the incident, according to Flatt.
