An ordinance relating to special-purpose vehicles is on the agenda for the Oct. 3 special-called Barren County Fiscal Court meeting.

The meeting will be at 9 a.m. in the fiscal court chambers at the Barren County Government Center. At this 9 a.m. meeting the magistrates are scheduled to hold a first reading of the ordinance relating to special-purpose vehicles, which became street legal due to the passage of Kentucky Senate Bill 63 if the governing body allowed them.

Park City voted to allow special-purpose vehicles on July 8. Neither the city of Glasgow nor Cave City have addressed special-purpose vehicles.

The two-page ordinance can be viewed here.

Barren County Fiscal Court’s agenda is:
— Approval of Minutes – September 16, 2025
— Approve Payment of Claims
— Approve Transfer of Funds
— Authorize Sale of Surplus Equipment
— Authorize signing of the EMPG 2023 Contract for Supplemental Funding.
