Willowdean Fonner
Willowdean Hogue Evans Fonner, 78, formerly of Glasgow, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at her residence in Gamaliel. A native of Allen County, she was a daughter of the late Orville Hogue and Alline Smith Hogue Dillard.
Willowdean was a devout Christian who also loved bowling, going to any kind of ballgame and running the roads.
Survivors include three sons, David Evans and Tim Evans (Laura) of Pittsburgh and John Evans of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Greyson Pulou, Forest Evans, and Sophia Evans; two sisters, Peggy Fuller and Betty Buss; her caregivers,
Bonnie and Clay Cropper, Tabatha Eubank, Aaron Webb, and Ashley Durham; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother James Hogue; and four sisters: Wanda Peavley, Josephine Poynter, Ann Raj and Faye Kingery.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery in Allen County. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Kenneth Everett Gibson, 88, of Cave City died Feb. 18, 2023, at Barren County Health Care. He was born in Cofer on Jan. 17, 1935, to the late Eulis Gibson and the late Letha Walbert Gibson. He was an employee of Eaton Axle for many years after being in the Army. Kenneth was a deacon at Revenna Separate Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin Gibson (Jennifer) and Keith Gibson (Kim); brother, Kimble Gibson; sisters, Edna Gibson and Rowena Sexton; grandchildren, Ethan Gibson (Alison), Alex Gibson and Kaleigh Gibson; and great-grandchildren, Olivia Gibson and Madeline Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Sue Gibson, and brother, Ed Gibson.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. Military honors will be provided at the funeral home by DAV Chapter 20.

Linda Sue Hogan, 64, of Cave City died Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at her residence. The Barren County native was born Jan. 10, 1959, to the late Dewey Bransford Smith and Reba Mae Blakley Smith. She was married to Bobby Glenn Hogan, who survives.
Linda was a former housekeeper for the Glasgow Inn and Diamond Caverns Resort. She enjoyed being outdoors and hiking. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, Bobby, she leaves to honor her memory her children, Jennifer Jones (Kennedy Martin) of Horse Cave, Travis Glenn Hogan (Courtni Cooper) and Ashley Nicole Butler (Richie Key) of Park City; grandchildren, Slade Jones (Adriana Zavaleta), Austin Jones (Brianna Wilkerson) and Cody Lee Jones; great-grandchildren, Naomi Jones, Salem Jones, Cyrus Jones and Lorenzo Jones; brothers, Tony Smith (Sandy), Russell Smith (Sue), Thomas Smith (Karen), Joe David (Alison) and Michael Smith (LuAnn); and sisters, Darlene Garmon (Tony), Carolyn Wright (Lewis), Patty Martin (Ricky), Kathy Smith (David) and Amanda Monroe. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Eugene Smith.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Tommy Charles Simpson Jr., 58, Smyrna, Tennessee

Tommy Charles Simpson Jr. 58, Smyrna, Tennessee, died accidentally Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023. Born June 12, 1964, in Glasgow, he was the son of Tommy Charles Simpson Sr. and Diane Branstetter Simpson of Glasgow, who survive, along with other family members.
Charles was a graduate of Glasgow High School and Western Kentucky University. He was a trainer of adjusters for State Farm Insurance Co.
It was Charles’ wish to be cremated. A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
