Ellar Kate Bragg
Ellar Kate Bragg, 88, of Glasgow died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at her residence. She was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Adair County to the late James Moore and Gladys Sneed Moore. Ellar was a self-employed child caregiver and was a member of Hillside Missionary Baptist Church for nine years. In her free time, she loved sewing, quilting, tending to her roses, cooking, canning and spending time in her garden.
Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Howell (Mike) of Glasgow and Carolyn Crabtree (Robert) of Horse Cave; five grandchildren, Nick, Miranda and Amanda Howell, all of Glasgow, and Cheryl Hickey (Jeremy) and Ashley Shoemaker (Jeremy), both of Horse Cave; and four great-grandchildren, Heather Adwell, Tanner Shoemaker and Austin Hickey, all of Horse Cave, and Isabella Hickey of Knoxville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Clarence Bragg; an infant son; and a step great-grandson, Gage Shoemaker.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shanti Niketan Hospice Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Bragg Family Cemetery in Adair County. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Faye (Carey) Moore, 75, of Cave City died Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born in Cave City on Aug. 3, 1947, a daughter of the late Oscar Mitchell and Cleadith Opal (Brannon) Carey. Faye worked as a store manager for Jr. Foods Stores until her retirement in 2007; she enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Moore; one daughter, Robin Jeaninne Self of Cave City; one son, Baron Dale Alexander of Munfordville; two stepdaughters, Melissa Ann West of Cave City and Mary Regina Montgomery; seven grandchildren, Amy, Tracy, Andrew, Nick, Tamara, Travis and Kylie; 13 great-grandchildren, Sabenna, Jason, Koda, Eli, Mason, Jasmine, Levi, Tori, Kevin, Chloe, Jayden, Brianna and Izzy; two great-great-grandchildren, August and Caden; and one sister; Freda May Thomason.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Kathy Shepard and Tracy Wright; one brother, Sherman Carey; and two sisters, Doris Carey and Betty Spencer.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel in Cave City. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barren River Animal Welfare Association in her honor.

Thomas Morgan, 81, of Glasgow died Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Knob Lick on Aug. 20, 1941, to the late Frank Morgan and the late Sofia Jane (Ferguson) Morgan. He was retired from Houchens and was a member of Glasgow Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Dickerson (Ron) and Donna Bennett (Ricky); one brother, Frank Morgan Jr.; grandchildren, Seth Bennett (Monica), Paige Bennett and Kylie Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Alexia, Cameron and Rasie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Aaron) Morgan; siblings, William Hershel Morgan, Clara Mae Onafrey, Virginia Sturgill, Mary Morgan, Eugene Morgan, Elsie Peden, Wilford Morgan, Louise Morgna, Welby Morgan, Lawrence Morgan, Lucille Hiser, Louise Piper, Aleine Carnahan, Ray Morgan, Albert Morgan, Alberta Morgan and Leona Simmons.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at Glasgow Wesleyan Church, with burial in Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and on Sunday morning until time for services at the church. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Fred Reneau
Fred W. Reneau, 75, of Glasgow died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023. He was born in Glasgow on Nov. 14, 1947, to the late Stanley Reneau and the late Edna Bailey Reneau. He was a professor at Southern Illinois for 30 years until retirement then spent his retirement years as a cattle farmer. Fred was a member of South Green Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Reneau; sons, Jason Reneau (Jane) and Jonathan Reneau (Erin Sparks); daughter, Julie Miller (Jeff); grandchildren, Eloise Reneau, Matthew Reneau, Evelyn Miller, Celeste Miller, David Miller, Jefferson “Campbell” Miller and Quintus Miller; brother, Larry Reneau; and a special nephew, Robin Reneau. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Reneau; and a special niece, Jennifer Cardwell.
His family has honored his wishes for cremation. The memorial service is at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation is from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be provided at the funeral home by DAV Chapter 20. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to South Green Street Church of Christ Missions Program.
Grace Watkins, 94, Glasgow

Grace Watkins, 94, of Glasgow died Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at Glenview Health & Rehab Center. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late George and Clara Bradford Lohden. She spent many years as the manager of St. Charles Kitchen and was a member of New Salem Methodist Church.
Survivors include two children, Clara Stilts (Marty) of Glasgow and Tommy Watkins (Angie) of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Julia Watkins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cory Watkins (Michelle) of Greensburg and Micah Watkins (Courtney) of Berea; three great-grandchildren, Emhrett Watkins, Brielle Watkins and Zyla Watkins; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Watkins; twin children, Christy Ruthene and Dell Lorene; three sisters, Ersie Turner, Anna Ruth Dennison Turner and Christine Watkins; and four brothers, Morris Lohden, George Lohden, Richard Lohden and Eugene Lohden.
The family wants to say a special “thank you” to those at Glenview Health & Rehab – West Side that took care of and loved Grace. Thanks for the spoiling and care so many showed during her time as a resident.
