Two people were transported to the hospital after a vehicle versus buggy collision on Oct. 20.

The collision occurred on South Fork Road near Sugar Hill Road, according to Barren County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Adam Bow. It was determined that a 2009 Nissan Maxima operated by 42-year-old Kasey Gupton of Glasgow hit an Amish buggy driven by a juvenile, Bow said.

“Two of the occupants of the Amish buggy were transported to T.J. Samson [Community Hospital] for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision,” Bow wrote in an email.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Haywood Fire Department, Barren County Emergency Management, and Barren Metcalfe EMS.
