David Wayne Self

David Wayne Self, 70, of Park City died at 9:35 a.m. Feb. 27, 2023, at Hospice House in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a Jack of all trades. He was a son of the late Wilbur Self and Dorothy Lucille Raymer Self of Huff, who survives. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Patricia Dennison; a sister, Delilah Linfoot; and a brother, Dallas Self (Mary Nell).
Also surviving are five sons, Jeff Self (Andrea) of Brownsville, Lonnie Self (Christy) and Chris Self, both of Park City, Jimmie Self (Bonnie Jean) of Wingfield, and Josh Gibbons of Bowling Green; a daughter, Amy Dennison of Louisville; a sister, Deborah Bliss (Steven) of Sunfish; three brothers, Donald Self (Lindy) and Darren Self (Trish), both of Huff, and Douglas Self of Hardinsburg; 19 grandchildren, Caleigh Self, Bryleigh Self, Taylor Howard, Kayleigh Bratcher, Cody Self, Anthony Hayes, Clayten Self, Christopher Gary Self, Colton Self, Connor Winchester, Chyanne Winchester, Caleb Winchester, Bently Self, Taylor Lane, Addison Eastman, Jared Meredith, Tiffany Richardson, Miranda Richardson and Ali Aviles; Corey Aviles; and seven great-grandchildren, Waylon Self, Charlee Hayes, Hadley Hayes, Rory Self, Joeyanna Self, Kyson Aviles and Kali Aviles.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Friday at Gravil Funeral Home, with burial in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jimmy James Chester “Bobo” Smith, 74, of Glasgow died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, at his residence. He was a son of the late William Carl Smith and Bessie Marie Settles Smith. He was a member of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by three brothers, Ronnie Smith and his wife Sheila, Roger Smith and Victor Smith; one sister, Connie Parrett and her husband Glen; special caregivers, Leonard and Brandy Ballard; lifelong companion, Kay Chapman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Freddie Smith, Richard Smith and Donnie Ray Smith; and one sister, Genene Chapman.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Tracy Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
