Members of the Far Off Broadway Players will be presenting Jane Austen’s “Lady Susan” next week at the Plaza Theatre in Glasgow. There will be performances at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 6; at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 7; and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.
Nick Swayne and Olivia Vaught spoke to WCLU Radio about their upcoming production. Swayne, who has performed with the group for 20 years, got into character when describing his role.
Swayne compared this drama to the popular modern TV show “Bridgerton,” adding that “it’s sprinkled with comedy throughout.”
“Lots of backhanded comments and sly comments,” he said. “They’re being very facetious towards each other.”
Vaught added: “But it’s said with a smile.”
Tickets for “Lady Susan” range from $15-20 and can be purchased at HistoricPlaza.com.
