Glasgow is set to add more duplexes after a development plan in the Quail Ridge Subdivision was approved on March 16.

The Joint City-County Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve both the preliminary and final development plan for the site, which sits on a single 6.625-acre tract along Bob White Way, a subdivision street off Cleveland Avenue.

The applicant — 6 Acres for Sale — proposes 24 residential duplex dwellings on property zoned R-3, a medium-density residential district, according to Planning Director Kevin Myatt, who added that each duplex structure will have four parking spaces, which meets local parking requirements.

Sidewalks are planned on both sides of the internal drive, which will connect to Bob White Way on both ends, but it will not become a city-maintained street, Myatt said.

In 2024, the Kentucky League of Cities estimated that Barren County was in need of roughly 2,000 housing units.
