A new radio station has launched in South Central Kentucky with an upbeat, feel-good format designed for today’s busy lifestyles.
Zing! 106.7 signed on the air March 31 at 1:06 p.m., debuting with “Happy” by Pharrell Williams after stunting for 24 hours with “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” by Justin Timberlake.
Operated by Commonwealth Broadcasting, the station features a bright adult contemporary format built around familiar pop hits, paired with a fun, relatable presentation. The station’s tagline reflects its mission: “Feel Good. Stay Zing’d.”
“Zing! 106.7 is designed to make people feel better the moment they turn it on,” said Chris Houchens, general manager of Commonwealth Broadcasting. “It’s a great station for listeners because it fits their real, everyday lives with positivity and energy. At the same time, it’s a powerful platform for local advertisers to connect with engaged consumers who are making buying decisions for their households.”

Programming includes “Murphy, Sam & Jodi” from 5 to 10 a.m., middays with Macy G from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., “The TJ Show” from 2 to 6 p.m., and “Murphy, Sam & Jodi Rewind” from 6 to 10 p.m. The station also features “Saturday FreePlay,” offering six hours of commercial-free music on Saturday afternoons from noon to 6 p.m.
