One person is dead after an early-morning collision that has closed a portion of Happy Valley Road.
Kentucky state troopers were called to the collision, which happened at the intersection of Flint Knob and Happy Valley roads, at approximately 5:19 a.m. on April 10. The collision involved a semitruck and a passenger car, and one person has died in connection with the crash, according to Kentucky State Police Public Information Officer Katan Parker.
Glasgow-Barren County Emergency Management reported that the crash has closed Happy Valley Road between Drippings Spring and Harry King Road while Kentucky State Police work to reconstruct the scene. The road is likely to be closed for at least an hour, according to Emergency Management Director Garland Gilliam.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible and use caution if they must travel nearby while law enforcement remains on scene, according to Glasgow-Barren County Emergency Management.
