James and Danielle Isenberg have made a name for themselves in Glasgow as entrepreneurs with a wellness mindset. In a bold move, during the height of the pandemic, the Isenbergs opened their first business, Bluegrass Vein Clinic. It was really important to us to help people and make them feel good about themselves during a trying time for society,” Danielle said.

In the aftermath of the pandemic, the couple saw another need emerge, and from that need Bluegrass Mental Health Care was born.
“Everyone, one way or another, can benefit from focusing on mental health,” Danielle said.
Part of what influenced the opening of Bluegrass Mental Health Care was the alarming suicide rates in America postpandemic. It also touched home for the couple when a dear friend took his life.
“We saw that people of a certain age were struggling and feeling hopeless,” Danielle said.
They also recognized that people in need of all ages were expected to wait long periods of time just to get an appointment, so they created Bluegrass Mental Healthcare to help alleviate that need for local residents. That was in 2022.
Next month, their third business guided by principles of health and wellness will open its doors. With Totality, in the former Mercer Plumbing building off the square along North Race Street, the couple plans to offer a total mind/ body/spirit spa experience. Totality is being billed as wellness club, a beauty clinic and a relaxation center. Club members will have special prices on offerings, but it is not for members only. A-la-carte offerings will be available as well, in all aspects of the new business.
“It’s a full-service spa as well as a place to receive medical cosmetic treatments,” Danielle said.
Those services will include laser treatments, Botox, facials, lashes, manicures, pedicures and massage. A full hair salon and full body waxing will be offered, too.
“We will have a hot tub, a sauna, and a relaxation room.

The name Totality was inspired by the phases of life and the waxing and waning phases of the moon.

“The relaxation room is a very lowly lit room with electric blankets, guided meditation, a galaxy projector and a running fountain. It will resemble an old-fashioned library one would see in a fairytale,” Danielle said.
The Isenbergs have paid great attention to detail in bringing this third business to fruition. Even the name, Totality, was given great thought and consideration and is reflective of the human experience.
“We don’t have employees, we have team members, and one of our team members, Courtney, had in her heart for many years that if she ever had a place she would call it Totality,” Danielle said.
The couple liked the name and started discussing what it meant to them.
“We are constantly waxing and waning like the phases of the moon. We come out changed through each phase, and that’s the representation of the moon phases,” Danielle said.
The couple hopes people come out of Totality feeling changed for the better.
“We are excited to offer the community this new service,” James said.
