T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow has been awarded an “A” Hospital Safety Grade for the sixth consecutive grading cycle, according to The Leapfrog Group.
The independent national nonprofit watchdog organization focuses on patient safety and stated in a press release the Spring 2026 result designates T.J. Samson as a “Straight A” hospital. Leapfrog defines a “Straight A” hospital as one that receives an A in the current grading period and has sustained that grade for five or more previous grading rounds.
“We are very proud of this distinct recognition from Leapfrog. Patient and staff safety are at the forefront of everything that we do, and we are constantly working to be the best in every category. Our patients and
staff deserve this,” stated Brandon Dickey, RN, Chief Quality Officer at T.J. Regional Health.
The Leapfrog Group assigns letter grades of A, B, C, D or F to general hospitals across the United States.

Leapfrog describes its Hospital Safety Grade as the only national hospital ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, injuries and infections that can cause harm or death.
According to the organization, the grading system is peer‑reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
Grades are updated twice each year, in the fall and spring.
