Participants ranging from toddlers to teens had the opportunity to pick up a racket and spend time on the court Monday evening during the Community Tennis Block Party.
The free event was held June 15 at the Terry L. Bunnell Tennis Courts at Caverna High School and welcomed players of all ages and ability levels. Organized by the Weldon Tennis Association and Terry Bunnell, the event gave participants, from beginners to more experienced players, a chance to practice, learn, and improve their skills in a relaxed environment.
With support from USTA Kentucky, participants took part in a variety of tennis drills designed to improve fundamentals, build confidence, and encourage participation in the sport. USTA Kentucky works to promote and grow tennis opportunities across the state, helping make the sport more accessible to communities and players of all skill levels.
