Barren County Fiscal Court is set to meet Tuesday morning on the third floor of the county government building in Glasgow, with a full agenda that centers on financial housekeeping, department updates and a slate of contracts and resolutions.
According to the agenda, magistrates are scheduled to approve the county’s monthly financial report for June 2026, the quarterly report ending June 30, 2026, and the treasurer’s annual settlement for the 2025-26 fiscal year, all subject to audit.
The county attorney is expected to present the monthly settlement report for June 2026.
The county clerk’s agenda items include approval of the June 2026 fee report and the quarterly report ending June 30, 2026, both subject to audit.
The sheriff’s office is also on the financial docket, with the court slated to approve the sheriff’s June 2026 fee report and the sheriff’s quarterly report ending June 30, 2026, subject to audit.
Beyond the public officials’ reports, the court plans to hear from several departments and committees.
Those reports are scheduled from the coroner, county clerk, jail, parks and recreation department, road department, sheriff, the administrative and budget committee and the jail committee.
New business claims a large portion of the agenda, starting with approval of payment of claims as presented, transfer of funds and personnel actions.
Magistrates are also expected to consider a contract and resolution connected to a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant, along with an agreement with Ricoh and an agreement with Lyons Mechanical Services for work on the government building.
The agenda lists a resolution for the 2027 public health tax rate, though specific rate details were not included in the meeting notice.
The court is scheduled to review and potentially approve a series of invoices.
Those include an invoice from the City of Glasgow for $5,290.23 and training incentives totaling $5,445.28.
Additional invoices include $10,000 from Carr Riggs & Ingram, $10,040 from Norse Tactical and $14,045.25 for Thomas Oil and Fuel.
The court will also consider $14,595 for Government Utilities Technology Service and $20,292.12 for Kentucky League of Cities Insurance Services.
Larger items on the list include Aramark invoices totaling $26,744.97, Comprehensive Correctional Care invoices totaling $34,841.16 and Scotty’s Contracting & Stone invoices totaling $42,233.07.
The biggest single amount on the agenda is a $60,000 invoice from the Economic Authority.
