Hart County Animal Shelter seeks assistance

There was no significant damage at the Hart County Animal Shelter on Tuesday evening, according to the Hart County Fiscal Court Facebook page.

No animals were injured when a storm blew through the Hart County Fairgrounds where the shelter is located.

“The dedicated staff are still on-site caring for the animals, cleaning and assessing their most immediate needs,” a Facebook post stated.

The shelter remains closed Wednesday.

The shelter is asking for donations to help with some items that were lost during the storm. If you are able to help, they are accepting donations of:
Sun Shades
Tarps
and Bungee Cords

Donations can be dropped off at either:
Hart County Courthouse (Fiscal Court)
or Hart County Animal Shelter.
