Shardai “Shar” Embry, a Caverna graduate who previously owned Inspire Nutrition in Munfordville and Motivate Nutrition in Glasgow, inspired hundreds through her cardio drumming workouts and motivational speaking before moving to Kansas. Now, she’s returning home to reunite the community while raising money for students in the Caverna Independent School District.
Shar will host the “Coming Home” Cardio Drumming Reunion Fundraiser on Sunday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Cave Area Conference Center at 502 Mammoth Cave Street in Cave City.
The event will feature cardio drumming, a silent auction, and Embry’s personal testimony. All proceeds will benefit Caverna schools.
During the event, Embry will provide a one-of-a-kind drumming workout experience and testimony about her personal journey of “coming home.”
“I literally can’t wait to drum, share my testimony about how coming home to God has changed my life, and reconnect with my community. It’s been a journey, and I’m excited to come together, celebrate, and support a great cause with so many familiar faces,” Embry said when announcing the event on social media.
While looking forward to returning home, Embry admitted planning the fundraiser has stretched her emotionally.
“Can I be real? This cardio drumming event has me anxious,” Embry said in a recent social media post. “I’m learning I can be called and still feel overwhelmed. I can trust God and still feel anxious. Both can be true.”
Advance tickets are $20 plus fees and will increase to $30 at the door. Those who need cardio drumming equipment, including buckets, exercise balls, or drumsticks, are encouraged to contact Embry before the event so enough supplies can be provided.
