Hopkinsville man charged in death of Bowing Green man

The body of a Bowling Green man was recovered from a river, and a Hopkinsville man has been charged with his murder.

The Hopkinsville Police Department said officers responded on Tuesday morning at approximately 6:15 to Little River, near West Side Park, after a body was discovered in the water.

The body was identified as 34-year-old Clifford Barber, Hopkinsville police said. He had been shot multiple times in the abdomen.

Police arrested 44-year-old Terrance Christopher Christian on Wednesday and charged him with Barber’s murder.

Christian was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center and also charged with with first-degree possession of methamphetamine, first offense, third-degree trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
