Witcher leads local golfers in Lady Scottie Invitational

Chloe Witcher finished third at the Glasgow Lady Scottie Invitational on Thursday. She and Molly Amos each shot 72, but Amos took second on a scorecard playoff on the back nine holes.

Bowling Green ran away with the team title with a 312, and Fredrick Douglass was second with a 319. Douglass was led by Willa Borough with a 71, which was also the low individual round.

The Lady Purples were led by a trio of 76s by Mary Douglas Childers, Ellie Morgan and Saanvi Arvantagi. Rheagan Gathright added an 84 to the team score.

After Witcher for Barren’s “A” team, Briley King fired 93, Riley Decker shot 100, June Simpson posted a 105, and Kailynn Peterson finished with a 111. They finished sixth as a team.

Harlow Bale led Glasgow with an 84, while Reese Chaney shot 92, Jenna Grace Pedigo posted a 102, Aria Harper shot 109, and Lucy Cate Stallons finished with a 133. They finished eighth as a team.

Barren’s “B” team was led by Lily Calhoun with a 117, while Taylor Spears posted a 121, Bella Pursley scored 128, Cambree Witcher shot 129, and Erin Bilbrey finished with a 131.

Gemma Laurie played as an individual for Glasgow and shot 129.
