Two injured in two vehicle collision

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash earlier this week at the intersection of Lexington Drive and N L. Rogers Wells Boulevard , according a traffic collision report.

The Glasgow Police Department reported officers came upon the collision around 8:50 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Lexington Drive and N L. Rogers Wells Boulevard.

Police said a juvenile was driving north on N L. Rogers Wells Boulevard as they approached the Lexington Drive intersection.

According to the report, the juvenile’s vehicle struck a second vehicle in the intersection.

Officers said the second vehicle was driven by Joseph White, who told police he was traveling east on Lexington Drive.

White reported he was going through the intersection on a green light when his vehicle was hit on the side by the juvenile’s vehicle, according to the collision report.

Police said the driver and passenger in the juvenile’s vehicle were taken by Barren-Metcalfe EMS to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment of their injuries. White declined medical attention at the scene.

Glasgow police reviewed CCTV footage from Zack’s Market, which captured the collision.

The security video appears to show the juvenile’s vehicle going through the intersection against a red light before striking the side of White’s vehicle, according to investigators.

Police said the CCTV footage of the crash was also recorded on an officer’s body-worn camera as part of the investigation.
