Man severely injured in collision on East Main Street

Two people were injured Sunday when a motorcycle and Chevrolet collided at the intersection of East Main Street and Bowen Avenue.

Dakota Dixon Lee was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson eastbound in the wrong lane of travel, according to a Glasgow Police Department preliminary investigation. Linda Hurt attempted to make a left turn from Bowen Avenue onto East Main Street and the vehicles collided.

Lee was not wearing a helmet and was transported from the scene by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services with life-threatening injuries, according to a police press release. Hurt was transported for minor injuries.

The collision was investigated by Officer Dawson Wooten and remains under investigation by the Glasgow Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team.
