The Glasgow City Council meets for the first time in August Monday in the council chambers at the Luska J. Twyman Municipal Building on East Public Square.
According to the meeting agenda, city departments will present reports on specific projects throughout the city.
Mayor Henry Royse will also present Executive Order 2026-267. That order updates the Glasgow Police Department’s standard operating procedures, specifically policy 25.01, which governs property room and evidence management.
The meeting agenda also includes several community announcements.
Parks and Recreation officials report that fall soccer league registration is now open for children ages 5 to 12. Families can register online through the city’s recreation portal, according to the announcement.
Another item on the agenda notes the upcoming retirement of Major Terry Flatt on Sept. 1. Flatt is the public information officer for the Glasgow Police Department.
The next regular Glasgow City Council meeting is scheduled for Aug. 24 at 6 p.m.
