Barren County Fiscal Court is set to meet Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 9 a.m. with a full agenda focused on county finances, tax rates and routine operations.
According to the agenda, county leaders will open with public officials reports from the judge-executive, county attorney, county clerk and sheriff.
Each of those offices is asking the court to approve its August 2026 monthly financial or fee reports, most of them subject to audit.
The court is also scheduled to hear department and committee reports.
Reports are listed from the coroner, county clerk, jail, parks and recreation, road department, sheriff and the transportation committee.
Several committees, including administrative and budget, building and property, economic development, emergency management and solid waste, jail and parks and recreation, note that their meetings were canceled.
Under new business, magistrates are expected to be asked to approve payment of claims, transfer of funds and personnel actions.
The court will also be asked to acknowledge receipt of 2026 district tax rates, the budget for the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library and an agreement for 2026 tax rates for the Barren County Library.
Two transportation-related resolutions are on the agenda.
The court will consider agreements and resolutions with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for $97,600 in grant pool funds and $31,120 in bridge funds.
The agenda lists a long series of invoices for court approval.
Those include payments to South Central Bank, Caterpillar Financial Services, Software Management, Thomas Oil and Fuel, the city of Glasgow and Barrens Information Technology Systems.
Other invoices are noted for Bank of New York Mellon, Lyon’s Mechanical, Aramark, the Glasgow/Barren Soccer Cooperative, Comprehensive Correctional Care, Enterprise and Clemmons Electric.
The list also includes payments to the Joint City-County Planning Commission, the Economic Authority, Truist Bank CTES and Scotty’s Contracting.
The Scotty’s Contracting invoices total $357,794.24, the largest single amount listed on the agenda.
