Stephanie Prichard has accepted the position of director of regional campuses at WKU, according to an announcement from Western Kentucky University. Her director responsibilities will include the Glasgow campus, along with Elizabethtown, Fort Knox, Owensboro and Somerset.
Prichard has worked in various roles at the regional campuses for the past 11 years, the announcement said. She began serving as assistant director in 2025, and she had been serving as interim director of regional campuses since July 13, 2026. She was named interim director when Dr. Derick Strode was named Director of The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science.
“I am exceptionally confident in Stephanie’s interim leadership of Regional Campuses,” Strode said at the time. “Stephanie has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success and the communities we serve. Her knowledge of our regional campuses, relationships with community partners, and dedication to expanding educational opportunities make her well-prepared to lead during this transition.”
Prichard’s earlier positions included campus outreach coordinator and academic adviser at the Glasgow regional campus. She later served as assistant director of regional campuses before becoming interim director.
Her leadership responsibilities extend across all five regional campuses. Those responsibilities include directing day-to-day operations at all of WKU’s regional campuses, Prichard told Glasgow News 1 on Tuesday.
Prichard accepted the position following a competitive search, according to the announcement from WKU.
Search committee members were Lauren Deal, Jennifer London, Crystal Nuckols and Amy Watkins. Janet Tassell chaired the search.
Prichard will officially begin her role on November 1.
