Carol Turner
Carolyn Francis “Carol” Perkins Turner, 83, passed away October 20, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. She left her earthly home peacefully, surrounded by loving family members.
Born August 21, 1943, in Summer Shade, KY, Carol was the daughter of the late Denzil Ray Perkins and Audrey Arlyne Pedigo Perkins. She shared her life with her husband, the late Tommy Joe “Tom” Turner, and was the mother of two sons, Bradley Scott “Scotty” Turner and Ryan Edward Turner.
Carol spent many years living in Munfordville, where she was part of the town’s business community. She owned and operated Carol’s Beauty Salon and, together with Tom, owned Ryan’s women’s apparel shop and The Shoe Box. Tom also co-owned and managed the family’s Gerald Furniture Company. Carol and her family later made their home in Lexington. In retirement, she and Tom moved to The Villages, Florida, beginning another chapter of their life together. She was a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Brant Bishop Edward Turner and Emilee Ryan Turner; her daughter-in-law, Donna Eversole; her brother, Jeff Perkins; her sister, Kim Perkins; her brothers-in-law, Steve Turner and Bill Turner; with many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Joe “Tom” Turner; her sons, Bradley Scott “Scotty” Turner and Ryan Edward Turner; her sisters, Virginia Lois Perkins and Nancy Hale; and her brothers, Stanley Perkins, Louie Dale Perkins, and Billy Dean Perkins. Carol will always be a beloved member of the Turner family. We are blessed in the knowledge that she is reunited with her husband, Tom, and her two precious boys, Scotty and Ryan. Her memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service for Carol Turner will be 2pm CST Sunday, November 1st in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy England officiating. Burial in the Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.
