Virginia Jones
Virginia Jones, 90, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 28th, at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.
Virginia was born in Tompkinsville, KY on November 27, 1935, a daughter of the late Allean (Copas) and Orville Fish.
She married Woodrow Jones on March 3, 1956; he preceded her in death on June 1, 1984.
Virginia attended Monroe Baptist Church and Peter’s Creek Baptist Church. She loved volunteering at the Senior Citizen Building, and the nursing home when her mother and husband were there. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for and being with her family.
Virginia is survived by a son, Kevin Jones, and wife Kathy, of Tompkinsville, KY; 4 grandchildren, Josh (Liz), Kristy (Mark), Alexis ( Seivaughn), and Shawn (Natosha); 10 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
Virginia is also survived by a brother, Robert Fish, of Lebanon, IN.
Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Tony, Dollie Giltner, and Myrtle Fish; four brothers, Everett Fish, Thomas Lee Fish, Lewis Fish, and Larry Fish, grandson, Shane Green.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 31st, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Bro. Darrick Proffitt and Tucker Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
