After three years, the Mammoth Valley Action Park is coming back to Cave City with new owner Robert Reynolds, a former linebacker for the Tennessee Titans. The park has historically been a stop for residents and tourists on their way to Mammoth Cave.

Renee Stuckert and her husband Mike are the general managers for the park and have worked with the park for more 10 years. They are excited to see the park revitalized by its new owners.

“We used to do a lot of photography for the previous owners, so we know quite a bit about how the park runs,” Renee Stuckert said. “I’m excited to see all the young people getting involved, for a lot of these kids this is their first job.”

The park has employed around 20 residents, mostly teenagers, working through the summer, according to Stuckert. The employees are responsible for the upkeep of the various attractions at the park.

“We, right now, have opened the go-carts, the alpine slide, the rock wall, zip line, and the chair lift,” she said. “So they’ve got plenty to keep them busy.”

Since the park’s beginnings, residents of the small town have taken advantage of the activities offered. “It becomes like a family atmosphere,” Renee Stuckert said. “I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to that have worked here or had a family member that worked here, I love those stories.”

The park’s soft opening was Saturday, July 15. A grand opening is not scheduled yet, but Stuckert encouraged keeping an eye on their social media as well as their website mammothvalleypark.com.
