Planning panel agenda includes items related to Royal Troon development

A preliminary plat and a preliminary development plan for the 111-plus-acre residential and commercial project that is in the works along Happy Valley Road, also known as Ky. 90, are among the agenda items for this week’s meeting of the Joint City-County Planning Commission of Barren County.
The property within the area between where Harry King Road intersects with Ky. 90 and where Flint Knob Road and Ky. 90 connect.
Approval at this meeting is being sought for grading only for one phase with regard to the preliminary subdivision plat, according to the agenda.
In addition, the preliminary development plan for what is designated as the Royal Troon commercial development is up for approval.
Woodland Station Development LLC is the owner/applicant for the project.

Two unrelated final development plans are also on the agenda for the meeting. The first of those is for a Dollar General Store at approximately 100 Leslie Ave., and the other is for an additional building planned at the Don Franklin automobile dealership at 1001 Happy Valley Road.
Two other subdivision plats will also be under consideration at Tuesday’s gathering:
– An agricultural application for division of real estate from Tyrus Potrafke Inc., owner/applicant, for one tract of approximately 9.66 acres at 4220 Capitol Hill Road, and
– Preliminary and final plat application from WCM-Land LLC Series 19, applicant/owner(s) for seven tracts of land totaling approximately 15.928 acreas along Oak Grove Church Road.
Planning commission meetings are normally at on the third Monday of the month, but when they fall on a holiday – Presidents Day, in this case – they are moved to the following day, so this meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday. It takes place in Council Chambers in Glasgow City Hall, 126 E. Public Square.
