Barren County Middle School is proud to host the Arts for All Kentucky traveling art exhibit.

Arts for All Kentucky is a non-profit organization that promotes arts education and creative expression for all. The Student Traveling Art Exhibit, “A Matter of Perspective,” is an annual exhibit of original artwork created by students with disabilities from across Kentucky.

The exhibit travels to schools, museums, businesses, libraries, and hospitals across the Commonwealth each year and will be on display in the middle school media center until May 3rd.

Taylor Read and Hunter Davis, both Barren County Middle School students, have works included in the exhibit. Also on display is a self-portrait by BCMS student Bobby Kidd; Bobby created this piece of art during the BCMS Arts for All inclusion project with artist Kim Soule in the fall. BCMS Art Teacher Sarah Vetter applied for a grant from Arts for All Kentucky to fund the project. Ms. Vetter commented,

“We hope our community will take some time to check out the work and celebrate inclusion in the arts,” Vetter said.

“We are honored that the middle school is hosting this exhibition, and we are so proud of Taylor, Hunter, and Bobby for being included in the display. BCMS is committed to offering opportunities for all of our students to experience success,” Barren County Middle School Principal Michael Davis added.

The display is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.
