James Westly McCrady, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, died Saturday, August 16. Born on July 26, 1942, to Serelda and Wren McCrady, James lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to family and friends. James proudly served his country in the United States Navy before embarking on a long career as a truck driver. Known for his warm heart and larger-than-life personality, he never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. A lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky, James cheered on the Wildcats with unmatched enthusiasm.
James is survived by his daughters, Yavonda Waddell and Dana Fryrear; grandchildren, Benjamin, Sophie, and Zoey; his dear friend, Betty Beach and a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside services for James Westly McCrady will be held at 10AM Saturday, August 23 at Hogan Cemetery in Brownsville. Arrangements are entrusted to Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel.
