Air Methods of Kentucky is partnering with TJ Samson Community Hospital to host a Battle of the Bases Blood Drive from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the Lera B. Mitchell Clubhouse in Glasgow.
Buddy Smoke, of Air Methods Kentucky, spoke to WCLU Radio about the event.
“We’re doing a blood drive to try to get community-based support to have blood available on our aircraft as well as other resources,” Smoke said. “We have a local trauma center now and we’re just trying to boost the supply of valuable resources.”
Smoke added that this is a statewide event and a friendly competition between air bases.
