A blank store front in Barren River Plaza in Glasgow will be filled with a Harbor Freight location.
Where once there was JoAnn Fabric and Crafts will be a retailer focused on hardware, tools and equipment. The new store will be next to Ruler Foods, according to a social media post from Larry Glass. The post announced that Harbor Freight is opening a location in Glasgow, but did not specify when that opening would occur.
“After years of hard work, conversations, planning, and believing in the future of our community, we are incredibly excited to officially announce that Harbor Freight is coming to Glasgow,” Glass stated in the post. “This has been a project we have worked on for years, and today we are proud to finally see it become a reality.”
The Harbor Freight announcement joins another recent one by Glass that a Teriyaki Madness will also be moving into Barren River Plaza by the end of the year.
“Most importantly, this announcement reflects the strength of our community, our workforce, and the leadership that continues working every day to move Glasgow and Barren County forward,” Glass stated in the Harbor Freight post.
