Barren County Fiscal Court members are set to meet Tuesday morning for their first session of July, with a full agenda that includes road funding, contracts and a proposed road name change.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 7, in downtown Glasgow on the third floor of the Barren County Government Center.
According to the meeting agenda, magistrates are expected to take up several routine actions, including approval of minutes from the June 26, meeting.
They also plan to vote on payment of claims, transfer of funds and personnel actions presented to the court.
County leaders are scheduled to consider naming a construction manager for the Agricultural Exposition project.
The court will also review a resolution and memorandum of agreement with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for various county roads.
The amount listed for that road agreement is $775,000.
In addition to the road funding, magistrates are expected to consider multiple contracts involving county buildings.
Those proposed agreements are with Lyons Mechanical Services and cover the Development Center, the government building and the courthouse.
The agenda also lists a resolution to change the name of Phelps Road to Huddleston Road. Phelps Road is a dead end off of Winn School Road in southern Barren County.
The court is slated to approve an order of allowance to the Board of Assessment Appeals for 2026.
