The Glasgow Board of Education is scheduled to meet Monday, July 13, 2026, at the old South Green Elementary library, according to the published agenda. Board members are expected to receive a notification from the superintendent on personnel actions taken since the last regular meeting.
Members will consider payment of claims, the monthly financial report for June 2026, the superintendent’s monthly timesheet and an invoice for legal services by the board attorney.
The board is also scheduled to take up requests for trips and fundraisers. Specific travel items on the agenda include the HES Kids’ Club Summer Program trip to the Nashville Zoo on June 26 and a Glasgow High School girls soccer trip to the Bluegrass State Games tournament in Lexington from July 24 to July 26. Fundraising items are listed collectively as submitted fundraisers for approval.
The board will perform a quarterly review of the mileage reimbursement rate for July 1 through Sept. 30, 2026, and consider setting the rate at 43 cents per mile to match the state reimbursement rate.
Several contracts related to student services and partnerships are also on the agenda. Members are expected to consider a contracting agreement for services for students with speech and language impairments and a memorandum of agreement between Glasgow Independent Schools and Community Action of Southern Kentucky for Head Start from July 1, 2026, through July 30, 2027.
The agenda also lists a memorandum of understanding between Murray State University and Glasgow Independent Schools and a memorandum of agreement with the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Education and Labor Cabinet.
Physical therapy and sports medicine contracts are set for action, including keeping the M & M Rehab Physical Therapy contract in place for the 2026-27 school year for exceptional children’s needs and a 2026-27 physical therapy and sports medicine contract with TJ Samson Community Hospital.
The board is also scheduled to consider a contract with Willow Oaks Golf Club for the 2026 golf season.
Under student services actions, agenda items include approval of the 2026-27 employee handbook and a Pyramid Model coaching services contract.
Members will also look at revisions to the human resources director job description and a proposed $500 donation to Glasgow High School football.
