Kentucky State Police have recognized dozens of troopers, detectives and officers for standout work in 2025, including several based in the Post 3 area.
According to KSP, 84 members of the agency were honored during the annual Sworn Awards Ceremony, which highlights personnel who went above and beyond the call of duty.
The ceremony is meant to recognize those committed to protecting Kentucky’s 120 counties and advancing the mission of creating a safer commonwealth for future generations.
In 2025, KSP responded to 532,600 calls for assistance across the state, according to the agency.
Officials say troopers and detectives also conducted thousands of wellness checks during dangerous weather, protected children from online predators, secured justice for victims and assisted local law enforcement agencies as needed.
Several members from the Post 3 area were singled out for major awards.
Detective Bo Hubbard, a Barren County High School graduate, was named the 2025 Post 3 Detective of the Year. Hubbard is an eight-year veteran of the agency.
Trooper Tyler Walters was named the 2025 Post 3 Trooper of the Year and is reported to be a two-year veteran.
Detective Trevor Harris received the 2025 DESI West Detective of the Year honor. Harris has served with the agency for 23 years.
Trooper Jason Warinner was awarded a Citation for Bravery. Warinner is a 14-year veteran.
Troopers Devon Banaszak, Grant Robertson and Walker Hogan each received a Meritorious Service Award.
Banaszak is listed as a four-year veteran, Robertson a three-year veteran and Hogan a five-year veteran.
Lieutenant Jason Akinson received a Meritorious Service Award with a V-device, which KSP says recognizes distinguished service under specific conditions. Akinson has been with KSP for 12 years.
A complete list of the 84 award recipients is available on the KSP website.
