Glasgow Police say a traffic stop on Grandview Avenue has led to multiple drug charges for a local driver. Officers reported that during the stop, they obtained consent to search and discovered drugs inside a cigarette case.
According to Glasgow Police, the incident happened on Aug. 5, 2026, when officers conducted a traffic stop involving a vehicle on Grandview Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver and identified her as Brittany Meshea Jones.
Police said Jones gave officers consent to search both her person and the vehicle. During that search, officers reported finding methamphetamine and gabapentin inside a cigarette case.
According to the department, Jones was arrested and faces several charges. Those include possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense, methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, drug unspecified, obstructed vision and or windshield and failure to produce an insurance card.
The arrest was made by Lt. Nick Houchens of the Glasgow Police Department.
