Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library will be closed from Aug. 13 to Aug. 31.
The library will take the down time to remove older and damaged materials, take inventory, and make room for new additions to the collection, according to a press release.
“We’re taking a short break to give our collection some much-needed TLC,” the release stated.
Any library programs scheduled during August will still take place. Also eBooks, digital audiobooks, streaming and other online resources will still be available.
The book drop will also be closed. No late fees will be charged while we are closed.
“Make sure your card is current so you can continue enjoying our digital services. If you have a problem with your card while we are closed, please email us at mwwml@weldonpubliclibrary.org. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible,” the release stated.
