State police pursuit ends near Glasgow

A pursuit that began in Warren County on Friday afternoon ended in Barren County.

The pursuit began when Kentucky State Police attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding, according to state police Post 3 Public Information Officer Katan Parker.

The vehicle, driven by Youssiff Masoud Gha Amin, sped from the scene and continued into the edge of Barren County on US 68/Ky 80 before it crashed into another vehicle near the overpass of the Louie B. Nunn Expressway. The pursuit ended shortly thereafter on Rex Bartley Road.

Amin is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree criminal mischief, and a litany of traffic offenses.
