Kadon Vincent
Kadon Vincent, age 85, of South, departed this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. A native of Edmonson County, he was born on May 30, 1941, to the late Milton and Delores VanMeter Vincent. He was united in marriage to his loving wife of sixty-two years, Carolyn Jean Stewart Vincent, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, memories, and devotion.
Kadon proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before spending many dedicated years working in the factory at Louisville Slugger. His spiritual journey began at a young age when he was saved during a tent revival at Jock, a faith that would remain a meaningful part of his life. He was united with South Union General Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon and had also taught Sunday School. He cherished his church family and the fellowship they shared. Above all, Kadon treasured his family and the time spent with those he loved. He was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether watching his favorite old westerns, especially Gunsmoke, or spending time outdoors tending to his yard and garden. He found joy in the things he loved most, and his faith, quiet dedication, and love for family will remain a lasting part of the legacy he leaves behind.
Besides his wife, Carolyn, he leaves to honor his memory— his daughters, SuAnn Vincent Blann (Barry) of Bowling Green and Jennifer Lindsey (Ronnie) of Smiths Grove; grandchildren, Kyle Ray (Caitlin), Logan Vincent (Sierra), Brandi Lindsey and Katie Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Aria Theobald and Casper Vincent; sister, Brenda Vincent of Bee Spring, along with several beloved nieces, nephews, church friends and family. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn “Tudor” Watt, Shirley Vincent and Doug Vincent.
The interment will be in South Union Cemetery with graveside military honors by Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post.
Memorial contributions may be made to: South Union Cemetery Fund.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, at South General Baptist Church. Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel, and 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the church.
